Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera is a type of imaging that gives us a detailed view of your mouth. And a picture is worth a thousand words — even when it comes to teeth.

The intraoral camera takes extremely detailed images and videos of your mouth. It’s so detailed that we can see cracks and stress marks in teeth that you can’t see with your eyes.

We use a handheld wand to capture images of your gums and teeth. Then, we look at the images and videos on a computer screen. The view of problem spots in the mouth is clearer than our normal view with a mouth mirror. You benefit because we can show you exactly where and why you need treatment.  And your dental insurance plan often pays more quickly when we can show a visual related to your dental care.
