At Pathway Dental Group, our professional teeth whitening services give you the bright, white smile you deserve.
Professional Teeth Whitening in Santa Barbara County, CA
Many of our patients complain about dull or yellow teeth. Discoloration or staining can happen because of poor oral hygiene, age, or weakening tooth structure. Professional teeth whitening treatment helps brighten your smile—sometimes in just one visit.
The whitening process is effective, safe and easy. We offer in-office teeth whitening, as well as take-home whitening kits, at our three locations in Santa Barbara County, California — Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and Lompoc.

How does professional teeth whitening work?
You can access in-office teeth whitening and custom-made trays at Pathway Dental Group.
With in-office teeth whitening, we cover sensitive areas of your mouth, such as lips and gums, so they don’t get exposed to peroxide. Then, we apply a highly concentrated hydrogen peroxide gel to the teeth. After we activate the gel, you rest while it whitens. Then, we remove any coverings and rinse the gel.
With custom-made trays, we take a mold of your teeth to make clear trays specific to your mouth. You take the trays home, along with whitening gel, so you can apply the gel as needed at home. The trays help concentrate the gel on your teeth instead of the gums and mouth.

How do I whiten my teeth at home?
You can whiten your teeth at home in many ways — from whitening toothpastes to white strips. We also offer professional teeth whitening in-office or take-home whitening kits.
Stained teeth may be normal but also can be a sign of other oral health issues, including tooth decay or gum disease. We recommend coming in for an exam before starting any teeth whitening. Let your dentist know that you’re interested in whitening, so they can make sure you’re a good candidate.
